This is the time of year when many people will put on a few extra pounds. It's easy to skip the workout when it's too cold outside; the gym is too far away; or the days are too short. Many people feel better sleeping the extra half hour during the winter months rather than using it to burn off those unwanted holiday snacks. During these next three months when it's easier opening the refrigerator door than closing it, and when all those tempting cakes, cookies, and high-fat snacks are sitting around the office or on your kitchen table, think about giving someone a gift that will help them burn a few extra calories.
