The study included experimental and control groups, totalling 13 participants. The experimental group consisted of eight subjects (six males and two females age 12.2+2.7 years) that met the criteria for spastic CP. The control group consisted of five non-disabled participants (four males and one female age 13.4+2.8 years). The participants with CP included six diagnosed with diplegia, one with hemiplegia, and one with quadriplegia. Despite two of the participants' use of crutches for walking long distances, they were able to walk on the treadmill without the assistance of crutches. Other than the experimental group participants being required to have the diagnosis of spastic CP, no other inclusion or exclusion criteria were mentioned.
