What is Chronic Fatigue Syndrome?
Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS) is a condition involving continual and severe fatigue. Because no pathogenic cause immunologic, inflammatory, neuroendocrine has been determined, the condition is primarily identified through symptoms continual fatigue, muscle weakness, low-grade fever, sore throat, painful lymph nodes, problems with concentration and memory. CFS is sometimes accompanied with Fibromyalgia syndrome (FMS), a condition identified by pain, fatigue, and stiffness. Note that many conditions can appear to be CFS, but to be diagnosed with CFS, major and minor symptom criteria must be met.
