Introduction to Softball
Softball is a team sport involving two teams competing to score points by hitting a pitched ball and circling four bases. Softball is played successfully by individuals with a variety of disabilities. Competition is offered by The United States of America Deaf Sports Federation (USADSF), The Dwarf Athletic Association of America (DAAA), Special Olympics International (SOI) , and National Wheelchair Softball Association (NWSA). In addition, National Beep Baseball Association has Beep Baseball, a version of softball for persons with visual impairments.
