West County Sports Fitness & Rehabilitation Center offers physical therapy (including sports medicine), cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation and oncology rehabilitation services.
The team of professionals staffing the center includes physicians, physical therapists, physical therapy assistants, registered nurses, exercise physiologists, respiratory therapists and registered dietitians.
Physical therapy services include lymphedema treatments, incontinence/pelvic floor dysfunction, myofascial release, osteoporosis, bone strengthening and general conditioning.
Sports rehabilitation is conducted by physical therapists experienced in the rehabilitation of all ages for general conditions, as well as industrial and sports medicine.
Cardiac rehabilitation and pulmonary rehabilitation are medically directed programs through the hospital's Cardiac and Vascular Center that require a physician referral; the team includes registered nurses, respiratory therapists and exercise physiologists; a physician is on-site during designated cardiopulmonary rehab hours.
The oncology rehabilitation team approach maximizes the functional levels in individuals with cancer-related health concerns; a physician referral may be required.
