• We are a non-profit 501(C)3 organization that focuses on rescue and rehabilitation. Abused, neglected, or unwanted horses have found sanctuary and rehabilitation at Starlight. After intense personal attention and training, most of these \"throw always\" become therapy animals.

  Starlight therapy horses serve children, teenagers and adults who suffer from autism, down syndrome, sexual, physical and emotional abuse, stroke and developmental delays, and more. Therapy horses help these participants build trust, self-esteem and muscular / neurological benefits when other modes of healing have failed.

We provide therapeutic riding to children and adults with disabilities. Classes take place in an environment that emphasizes abilities rather than disabilities. Riding a horse gives something very profound to a person with disabilities. The feeling of achievement that comes from riding and maneuver a 1,100 pound horse is strong medicine. It turns defeat into victory, and self doubt into confidence.
