Description
Services include:
Behavioral Health Services
are funded by the NJ Division of Mental Health Services. The services include integrated case management (case management, outreach, mental health, and home care), residential support (transitional and permanent housing, foster, shelter and home care), and intensive family support services (counseling, education and support for families served). People served have mental health disadvantages.
Community Support Services
are funded by the NJ Division of Developmental Disabilities. Services include: Adult Training (habilitation services) either in a facility or in the community (community inclusive activities), residential (housing and support). Community inclusive activities include supported employment, volunteering, educational and recreational. Other supports that are provided are behavioral, physical and nursing. People receiving services have developmental disabilities and may also have physical and/or mental health disabilities.
Employment Services
are funded by the NJ Division of Vocational Rehabilitation, the NJ Division of Developmental Disabilities, the NJ Commission for the Blind and Visually Impaired, and local school districts. The services include vocational evaluation (testing to determine vocational skills), work adjustment training (preparing for work), extended employment (long term employment support in a sheltered workshop), job placement, supported employment (providing on-the-job coaching and support) and workstations (community based group employment with supervision).
Camping and Recreation Services
are funded by fees paid by the customer, the NJ Division of Developmental Disabilities, various NJ counties, the NJ Division of Youth and Family Services, the NJ Department of Education Summer Food Program, local school districts, and donors. The services include a day camp, resident camp, vacation camp, and a travel and respite program. All services are inclusive to serve individuals with or without disabilities.
Family and Childrens Services
includes Linkages, the Parent Support Program, and Parenting Training Programs. Linkages is a transitional housing program funded by the Department of Community Affairs, Emergency Assistance, the Monmouth County Freeholders and client fees. The goal of this program is to provide homeless women and their children with training and support through intensive programming that will increase/develop self-sufficiency skills and lead them towards independent living in the community. The Parent Support Program is funded through the Division of Youth and Family Services (DYFS). The program provides intensive case management services to families referred by DYFS who have children residing in out-of-home placement. The goal of the program is to expedite reunification of the family and prevention of any subsequent removal of children. This is achieved by providing the family with services such as parenting education, home management and life safety skills training, money management, stress management techniques, nutrition and meal planning, time management and basic health education. The Parenting Training Program is also funded through a vendor contract with DYFS and provides group education to referred individuals. Workshops are eight weeks in duration and total 16 hours of parenting training. Workshops are currently facilitated in Monmouth County to clients referred by DYFS.
Fiscal Intermediary Services
are funded by the NJ Division of Developmental Disabilities. The services include management of budgets, payment of bills and service as the employer of record for the person served in the NJ Governor's Self-Determination Initiative.
Personal Assistant Services
are funded by various NJ County Offices for Disability Services. The service includes personal assistance (personal care, meal preparation, transportation, and assistance with chores). Services take place in the homes, places of employment or school of the user. People served have physical disabilities and are self-directing. We are currently serving individuals in 11 Counties.Information Referral/Equipment Loan, a division of Personal Assistant Services, is funded by Easter Seals donors. Services include the provision of information, referrals and loans of durable medical equipment to people in need.
